Fe56 was born of the meeting between Patrice Dangel, bronze worker artist and Mehdi Mallier, blacksmith artcraftman, manager of Dunod Mallier iron workshop.

This artistic label cover creative productions and specific know-how around an unique material: the iron.

Mehdi Mallier

Iron workshop

Mehdi was 16 years old when he discovered the monumental 'Taurus' by Serge Marchal, a craftsman and sculptor of metal. The meeting would determine the boy's future: an apprenticeship with the Companions, seven years on his own Tour de France marked by international meetings with blacksmiths gave him a taste of the pleasure of working with earth and fire. Founding manager of Dunod Mallier, ornamental ironsmiths now for 20 years, together with his team of 15 people Mehdi has succeeded in raising these workshops of excellence to obtain the 'Living Heritage Company' label and be admitted to the Grands Ateliers de France. The fields of their know-how range from stylistic ironwork to contemporary creations in locksmithing and fine metalworking on a national and international scale.

Patrice Dangel

Bronze worker artist

Trained at the Boulle college of fine arts and crafts and applied arts, Patrice Dangel began his career with a celebrated foundry as a chiseler and then specialized in the restoration of objets d'art made of bronze. But his transition to the Fine Arts inspired in him a desire to create that he began to express in the 80's. The first decorative objects he designed were naturally made of bronze before expanding to more malleable materials such as plaster. His creations combine the sophistication of the material with the primitive aspect of sculptural forms. The works of Patrice Dangel, available only in galleries, today are genuine collector's pieces for lovers of art.
